September 2018

Wow this week was crazy, lots of food, goodbyes and travelling. Monday, we had a big barbecue and I said goodbye to all of my friends in my area. I´m going to miss them and know that they will continue to grow. I hope to come back someday to visit.

On Tuesday, I packed and said goodbye to a few more friends before we left for Valdivia to stay the night there. Wednesday morning I said goodbye to my trainee and got on the bus to Osorno with the others who had transfers. We got to Osorno and I was able to talk with several people I had gotten to know in Punta Arenas before we left for my next area. We dropped the bags of at the house and went to eat a late lunch with the Mamita who lives right next door. I had heard of the legendary Mamita of the area before, but they don´t do her food justice. We ate till I thought I would burst and then she brought us dessert.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we worked hard and held our first district meeting. Being district leader is crazy and exciting as well as very motivating.

Sunday, we had a wonderful Sacrament meeting in which I was able to introduce myself and share some of what I have learned about the atonement and forgiveness from the Peacegiver (highly recommended). After church, we visited with the Presidency and got to know them better then helped a brother clean and repair his house. I´m very excited to be working in this new area with my new companion and can´t wait to see the fruits of our labors.
